Site Models – Data Analysis and 3D Printing

We regularly collaborate with some of the largest architecture firms in Switzerland. This enables us to offer you the service of analysing your 3D data for feasibility. Before printing, we review all provided volumes and recommend any necessary improvements.

Site model insert modelling

Inserts for Your Site Model

If you need a variant model, we check the required cut-outs. You can have as many variant inserts produced as you like – even after the original site model has been printed.

Inserts in Comparison

Your inserts fit seamlessly into the existing site model.

From Building Project to 3D Model

Three steps to your architectural model.

01

Creating the 3D Model

Either you supply the finished data (.stl or .step) or we explain which criteria to consider when creating the volume model.

02

Data Analysis

Many parameters must be correct to manufacture a site model via 3D printing. As a first step, we assess feasibility based on the available data.

03

Manufacturing by 3D Printing

Before production, you receive a 3D online preview for final approval. Once you have approved the data, we begin printing your architectural model.

3D printed building model

Building Models

We also produce complex building models (detail level up to stage 4). The 3D data must be supplied directly by you. If you have questions about print-ready data preparation, we are happy to advise you.

3D printed interior

Interior for Building Models

With true-to-scale interior furnishings for your building models, you can present your ideas to clients even more effectively. Thanks to our wide range of technologies and materials, we can produce highly detailed structures.

Key Facts About 3D Architectural Models

There is a lot to know about 3D printing – here are the most important facts.

3D Volume Data

3D printing generally requires volume data. You can obtain these by exporting from common CAD programmes. Preferred formats are .stl or .step.

3D Data Creation

You don’t have 3D data yet? We show you what to consider when creating them.

Subsequent Modifications

You have 3D volume data and would like to make changes? We show you what to consider for 3D printing.

3D Visualisation

Before each print, you receive a visualisation of your 3D model. You can conveniently view it online, measure it, and then approve it.

Delivery

If the 3D volume model is compatible for 3D printing, you typically receive your model within one working week. Small 3D models can be express-manufactured and delivered within 48 hours.

Dimensions

We print 3D models with maximum dimensions of approx. 700 x 700 x 1900 mm in a single piece. For larger models, urgent orders, or highly detailed models, we print them in multiple parts.

Prices and Lead Time

3D-printed site models are – compared to plaster production – significantly more affordable. You also receive the models in considerably less time, allowing you to meet your deadlines.

Weight

Did you know that 3D-printed site models weigh up to 70% less than conventional plaster models? Your 3D model is therefore easy to transport.
